These terms are an agreement between you and Captain’s Brain, operated by Heather J. Craig in Port Orchard, Washington (“we”, “us”). They cover the Captain’s Brain app and website and our services: the Dossier Install and any custom work for larger organizations. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you’re signing up for a company, you confirm you’re allowed to agree for it.
Keep your login details to yourself, give accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has gotten into your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account, including what the people you invite to your workspace do there.
What you put into Captain’s Brain is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you (including AI processing when AI features are on). We don’t claim ownership of it and don’t use it for anything else.
Captain’s Brain uses AI to write briefings, summaries and drafts. AI can make mistakes, so review anything important before you rely on it or send it. The app prepares drafts; a person decides what’s sent, posted, booked or bought.
For the Dossier Install and any custom work, the scope, hours and deliverables are those in your order or proposal. You grant us access to your tools through your own account settings. We never ask for your passwords. We keep what we learn about you and your business confidential, during and after our work together.
Don’t use Captain’s Brain to break the law, to send spam, to access anyone else’s information without permission, or to try to break or overload the service.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can export your information.
We work hard to keep Captain’s Brain accurate and available, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Captain’s Brain is not legal, financial or medical advice.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Kitsap County, Washington, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll update the date above and let account holders know before it takes effect.
