Network Pulse

Networking and posting in minutes a week.

Works alongside LinkedIn. It tells you who matters this week, who you've gone quiet on, and drafts the note in your voice. When your company or a contact makes news, your LinkedIn post is already written. You stay in control: open, paste, send.

  • A people snapshot before every external meeting
  • Reconnect nudges for key contacts you haven't reached in 60+ days
  • Job changes and milestones among your VIPs, with congrats notes drafted
  • LinkedIn posts drafted for you when your company makes news, or someone in your network does

For executive assistants

Your exec gets the briefing. You get your mornings back.

Built by an EA, for EAs. The prep that used to eat your first two hours is drafted overnight, ready for your expert eye.

Edit before they see it

Review and tweak tomorrow's Dossier the night before. Your judgment, AI's legwork.

One approval queue

Drafts, decisions and replies lined up for a one-tap yes. No more chasing in the hallway.

View as your executive

Flip to see exactly what they'll see. An assistant-only switch your exec never has to think about.

For the Office of the CEO

One brain for the whole office.

Chief of staff, senior EA, EAs, special assistants, board secretary. Today they work out of ten inboxes and a shared spreadsheet. With Captain’s Brain, everyone works from the same Dossier, and each person sees what their role needs.

Executives

One screen, every morning

CEO, President, COO, Founder: each gets a personal Dossier. Approve decisions and drafts with one tap.

Chief of Staff

The strategic layer

Company priorities, the decision log, cross-team asks and what's slipping. A weekly readout for the exec.

Senior EA

Owns the Dossier

Edits before the exec sees it, runs the approval queue, sets calendar strategy and hands work to the team.

EAs & Jr EAs

Clear assignments

Inbox triage, scheduling, travel and expenses, with tasks assigned by name and due dates everyone can see.

Special Assistants

Projects and research

Briefs, research and special projects, tied to the exec's priorities instead of buried in email.

Board Secretary

Board-ready, all year

The board calendar, materials, minutes, resolutions and director communications, in one place.

Board management

Never scramble before a board meeting again.

Board work runs on a calendar. Captain’s Brain knows it, counts down to every meeting, and drafts the reminders before anyone has to ask.

  • Board and committee calendar with countdowns and prep timelines
  • Board book checklist: who owes which section, and by when
  • Materials linked from your own Drive, SharePoint or board portal; nothing is copied out
  • Director communications drafted for review: pre-reads, logistics, follow-ups
  • Resolutions, action items and minutes tracked to done
  • Director directory: assistants, travel and dietary preferences

Coverage built in

When someone is out, their work is handed off with full context. No more "let me find out who was handling that."

Every decision, approval and send is logged with a name and time. Handy for board minutes and audits.

  • Voice requests that become to-dos

Heather J. Craig, founder of Captain’s Brain
Founder story
"I spent more than 25 years being the brain behind the boss. Now I've built that brain into your AI."

I'm Heather J. Craig. For more than 25 years I've supported CEOs and C-suite leaders, including at Avanade, Adaptive Biotechnologies and Chihuly Studio. I've run calendars that would make you dizzy, prepped board meetings and guarded more confidential information than I can count.

Many moons ago, one of my bosses dubbed me "Julie, the Cruise Director," after the character on The Love Boat, because I kept the whole ship running smoothly. That nickname stuck with me, and it's where our name comes from: you're the captain, and we're the brain behind you. It's also why our brain wears a captain's hat.

Then AI got good. I realized everything I did every morning for my executives could be taught to their AI, if someone who knows the job set it up. So that's what I do now.

Heather J. Craig Founder, Captain’s Brain
The math

A full-time EA costs about $114,000 a year. Captain's Brain costs about $1,100.

I've been the full-time EA, and great ones are worth every penny. But most leaders don't need someone 40 hours a week. They need the morning prep done, every single morning, by a system built by someone who knows the job.

Hiring a full-time EA
~$114,000in year one
  • $76,590 median salary
  • ~$32,800 benefits and payroll taxes
  • ~$4,700 to recruit and hire
  • Plus a laptop, software, a desk and weeks to find the right person
Captain's Brain
~$1,100in year one
  • $749 Dossier Install, built with you by a 25-year EA
  • 3 months of the app included
  • $39 a month after that
  • No hiring, payroll, benefits or onboarding
Over $100,000 a year less than a hire

10.5hours back a month

3xwhat Captain's Brain costs

An estimate, not a promise. Based on 21 workdays a month.

Salary: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics median pay for executive assistants (May 2025). Benefits and payroll taxes: BLS Employer Costs for Employee Compensation, where benefits are 30% of total compensation for private-industry workers (June 2026). Hiring: SHRM average cost per hire. Local costs vary. Year one for Captain's Brain: $749 install plus 9 months of the app at $39. Need someone 40 hours a week? Hire a great EA, and we'll set them up with Captain's Brain too.

  • You log in yourself; I never hold your passwords
  • Access can be revoked anytime
  • Nothing is sent, posted or deleted without your approval
  • 25+ years handling confidential executive information
  • Company IT approval? I'll work with them, never around them
FAQ

Good questions. Straight answers.

Is my data safe?

Everything lives in your own accounts: your AI subscription, your email, your calendar. You log in yourself during the install, so I never see or hold your passwords. You can revoke access anytime, and nothing is set up to send, post or delete on its own. And I've spent 25+ years handling confidential information for executives. Discretion is the job.

Which AI do I need?

A paid plan for Claude or ChatGPT. If you already have one, great. If not, we'll pick the right one on your Brain Check. Your subscription is billed by the provider directly.

Does it work with Outlook or only Google?

Both. We connect to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, whichever you use.

My company has strict IT rules. Can we still do this?

Often, yes. We'll get IT's sign-off before your install, and I'll give you a one-page summary of exactly what gets connected. If something is blocked, we work with IT, never around them.

Will it send emails or post on my behalf?

No. It drafts; you decide. Every email, post and reply waits for your OK.

Does it log into my LinkedIn?

No. Network Pulse works alongside LinkedIn using public information and your own email history. It drafts the notes and posts; you open LinkedIn and send or post them yourself.

I already have an EA. Is this for me?

Absolutely. It makes your EA faster, not replaceable. They get the assistant view, the prep is done before they log in, and they spend their time on the work only a human can do.

We used Base. Can you replace it?

We'll rebuild the parts you relied on (digests, decisions, shared priorities) inside the AI you already use, and add the morning briefing on top.

Can it handle my personal life too?

Yes. Personal mode plans date nights near you, keeps the doctor, dentist, vet and groomer on schedule (it reminds you when the next one is due), tracks kids' camps and sign-up deadlines, and suggests three gifts for every birthday and anniversary, with what you gave last time so nothing repeats. It finds the options and writes the message; you or your assistant confirm. Nothing is booked or paid without you.

Couldn't I just build this myself in Claude or ChatGPT?

You could, and some leaders do: an afternoon writing instructions and skills files, then a few minutes a day teaching it. Captain's Brain is that work already done, by someone who did the job for 25 years, plus what a DIY setup doesn't have: an app on your phone, a shared view for your assistant and team, board management, decision links and the Scheduler. And if you love your own AI, the Dossier Install sets up Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot to brief you too.

What's the difference between the app and the Dossier Install?

It's the same Captain's Brain. With the app, you set it up yourself. With the Dossier Install, I build it with you in a 2-hour live session: your VIPs, priorities, preferences and voice, your calendar, your own AI and your assistant. You get a week of tweaks and 3 months of the app included. Either way, it's yours from day one.

I support several executives. How does pricing work?

Each executive gets their own Dossier, and you see all of them on one screen. The Assistant plan is $79/month for up to 3 executives, or $199/month for up to 10. Want it done for you? The install is $749 for the first executive and $449 for each one after.

Is it cheaper than hiring an assistant?

By a lot, but it isn't a person. A full-time EA costs over $100,000 a year once you add benefits, payroll taxes and hiring. Captain's Brain does the daily prep a great EA does first thing every morning, for about $1,100 in year one. If you need someone 40 hours a week, hire a great EA, and we'll set them up with Captain's Brain too.

I don't have an EA. Is it still for me?

Yes. Captain's Brain is built for leaders who are their own assistant. It puts your day on one screen, preps every meeting, tracks what people owe you and drafts your follow-ups. You decide what goes out.

Can our whole Office of the CEO use it?

Yes. On the Assistant plan, your chief of staff, EAs, special assistants and board secretary each get their own login, with the right access for their role. Everyone works from the same Dossier, tasks can be assigned to anyone, and every approval is logged. Bigger organization? Let's talk.

Where do board materials live?

Where they live today: your Google Drive, SharePoint or board portal. Captain’s Brain links to them and tracks what's due, who owes it and what's been sent. It doesn't copy your board book anywhere else.

Will it pass our IT and security review?

We'll do the review with you, not around you. Everything runs in your own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and your own AI subscription, and we'll fill out your security questionnaire and sign your NDA and DPA. Single sign-on is on our roadmap; if it's a must-have, tell us in your inquiry.

What happens after the first week?

It keeps running; it's yours. Your first 3 months of the app are included, then it's $39 a month (or $79 for assistants). Cancel anytime, and export everything whenever you like.
